In this study,were ported a simple and novel method for the
preparation of 3D hierarchical chrysanthemum-like Cu2O/
CNTs nano composites on a large scale by a facile wet
chemical method. A possible growth mechanism of the 3D
chrysanthemum-like Cu2O/CNTs architectures was also pro-
posed in this paper.The composite combines the advantages of
high capacity of nano scale active materials and manageability
of nano scale particles.Especially,in the composite,one end of
the CNT sembeds into the Cu2O flowers and the other end
entangles Cu2O “petals” outside the nanoflowers to form 3D
conducting networks,which significantly enhance the electro-
nic conductivity of the composite material.Moreover,the
influence of the as-obtained nano structure on their novel
photo catalytic activity of degradation of phenol was firstly
investigated in detail.To the best of our knowledge,there is no
report on direct solution-based approach to fabricate the shape-
controlled Cu2O/CNTs nano composites with chrysanthemum-
like nano structures. The findings in this work were attractive
for their merits such as simplicity,safety,environmentally
benign,commercial feasibility,and good potential for scale-up.
