I suffered with it, probably never will be 100% again as it still tries to creep back, I was lucky enough to get the correct help for it and be given tools to control it and understand emotions that you would usually push down and turn inward... and I know lots of people who do suffer with it who are not as fortunate as I was to have the support I had. People do need to wake up and realize its an illness and not a choice and when you suffer with it the last thing you need is someone looking at you like they pity you or have no respect for you. If you know someone who suffers with it, the best thing to do is listen and try to understand what it feels like to wake up every day feeling like everything is hopeless.
