The purpose of this policy is to maximize security within the Resort and to safeguard all confidential files, documents as well as monies and to ensure the smooth operation within the Resort.
This procedure is issued to maximize security for all guest rooms and to ensure the smooth operation within the Resort considering the IHG Master Key policy which is “The master key must be kept in a secure place when not in use and a log kept of its use. Master keys which can operate the dead bolt or override the privacy feature must be restricted to the General Manager and their nominated deputies.”
Policy
1. Master Keys for Guest Rooms and Offices must be kept in the Key Cabinet at Security Office at all times.
2. Key to open Master Key’s cabinet must be kept in the Resort Safe Deposit box no.1.
3. Authorized personswho allowed to withdraw key cabinet from Safe Deposit Box are;-
a. GM & Director of Operation for purpose of using Guest Rooms Master Key for emergency case.
b. GM, Director of Operation and Chief Engineer for purpose of using Back Office Master Key.
4. No associate is allowed to take the Master Key out of the property.
Procedures
1. An authorized person is required to sign in the Key Cabinet Control Book at Front Desk when withdraw the key cabinet.
2. An authorized person must fill in the reason in the “MASTER KEY CONTROL BOOK” at Security office whenever Master Key is issued from Security office.
