Quantity
The more specific or accurate you are, the less chance there will be for a misunderstanding between the reader and the writer.
1. Try to use an exact number.
There were12 people at the meeting.
2.If this is not possible, try to give a range.
There were between 10 and 15 people at the meeting.
3.If this is not possible, then use a more general measure of quantity. Which of the following have the same meaning? Which should you not write?
