Both the prepared nanofibers presented larger crystalline region
as compared with the initial banana fibers, and their diffraction
patterns were similar. CT- and ET-treated CNFs displayed two broad
peaks. The sharp diffraction peaks at 2q ¼ 16 and 2q ¼ 22 were
typical of cellulose I and indicated the higher crystallinity of the
nanofibers as compared with the initial fibers (Rosa et al., 2010).
