The Pearson correlation coefficient

The Pearson correlation coefficient for vitamin C, yellows flavonoids,
total anthocyanins, extractable polyphenols, total carotenoids,
catalase, ascorbate peroxidase, superoxide dismutase with
the antioxidant activity are presented on Table 4.


Significant and negative correlation with the antioxidant activity
through the DPPH method was observed with the yellows flavonoids,
total anthocyanins, extractable polyphenols, catalase,
ascorbate peroxidase, and superoxide dismutase. This happens
because the DPPH method produces inversely proportional results
to these compounds.

For ABTS it was observed coefficient with significant
and positive correlation with yellow flavonoids, extractable
polyphenols, catalase, ascorbate peroxidase and superoxide
dismutase.
