Moreover, the level of advanced technology utilisation and
diffusion has also been found to be explained by bandwagon pressure
[52] and technology acceptance model (TAM), where the actual use of
such technologies is mainly influenced by users' perceived usefulness
and ease of use [53]. In the case of bandwagon pressure, although the
socio-psychological effect may play a role in the diffusion of advanced
technologies, the locus of such pressure generally relates to external variables
rather than those within a firm.
