12.1 Measured current as a function of time shall be
converted to current density values. The data may be presented
as in Fig. 1, which shows an example of a current density
versus temperature plot.
12.2 Evaluation of the CPT:
12.2.1 Standard Evaluation—The critical pitting temperature
is taken as the temperature at which the current increases
above 100 μA/cm2 (see Note 7) and stays above this critical
current density for a minimum of 60 s; see Fig. 1.
