Treatment
If milk production seems to be insufficient for the infant,
due to low weight gain, in the absence of diseases, the first
thing to do is to check whether the infant is properly
positioned during breastfeeding and whether the latch-on is
appropriate. To increase milk production, the following
measures are useful:
improve latch-on, if necessary;
increase the frequency of feeding;
offer both breasts in each breastfeeding;
