Music Copyright(Thailand) will bring together and can renowned composers, music creators, singers and representatives of musical organisations from across the Asia Pacific region to the"Asia-Pacific Music Creator Conference" at Sofitel So Hotel, 3 or Sathon Road, tomorrow from 9am-3pm. This is the country's first regional music confer ence held to improve the management of music copyright in Thailand to meet international stand ards, and provide updates to musiclicensingman- agement and assets in the world music industry. The conference will feature a panel discus- sion on"Fair Trade Music" with Lorenzo Ferrero, chairman of the International Council of Music Creators and Japanese composer Shunichi Tokura as speakers. Scot Morris, APRA's director of international relations and chairman of the Asia-Pacific Com mittee, will touch on"Best Practice on Copy- right Collective Management" A presentation on"International Practice Licensing For Broadcast ing And Cinema" will be conducted by Spencer Lee, deputy CEO of Composer and Authors Soci- ety of Hong Kong. There will also be a sharing session by Thai famous artists including Natapol"Kor" Srichomk- wan, one of PO.P band's founders and leader of Groove Riders band. The conference is open to interested members of the public. There is no admission fee, but re istration should be made by today.
