My mother walked into the dining-room today, and got the shock of her life. There, coiled in front of her, was a snake. As soon as it heard my mother coming, it crawled back and hid behind a cupboard.Quickly, my mother called my father, who was in the garden. He took a long, bamboo stick and made the snake come out form cupboard. Angered, the snake raised its head high and hiss dangerously while its tongue darted about threateningly. My father aimed carefully and hit the snake right on the neck. Immediately, the snake collapsed. My mother later said it was fortunate that the incident had happened in the daytime; otherwise, she might not have seen the creature and could have stepped on it accidentally. If she had done so, the result could have been tragic.
