To examine the effect of the extraction solvent volume, solutions
containing different volumes of 1-undecanol were subjected
to the same DLLME-SFO procedures. The experimental conditions
were fixed and included the use of 1.50 mL ethanol, containing
1.2 103 mol L1 PAN and different volume of 1-undecanol
(40.0, 50.0, 60.0, 60.0, 80.0, 100.0 and 120.0 lL). Fig. 2 shows the
curve of recovery versus volume of the extraction solvent. It is clear
that by increasing the volume of 1-undecanol, the extraction
recovery increases and by further increasing of the extraction solvent
volume, the extraction recovery slightly decreases because of
dilution effect. Based on obtained results, the maximum extraction
recovery was obtained using 100 lL of the extraction solvent.
Thereby, in the following studies, the optimum volume of 100 lL
was selected for the extraction solvent.
