Due to unmodified carbon nanotubes are cause pulmonary fibrosis and lung inflammation after inhalation. So They conducted the research that modify the nanotubes by atomic layer deposition coatings will have an effect of pulmonary fibrosis. However this modification is the most common way to enhance the functional properties of carbon nanotubes used in products such as electronics, structural engineering and medicine. Although the coating can not eliminates the health risks from multi-walled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) but it can reduce cause pulmonary fibrosis.
