The particle size of the waterborne PUs dramatically decreased upon the introduction of PTMEG. The viscosities of all the water- borne PUs and thermal stabilities of their films were high enough to be used as textile coating materials. The PU films were soluble in water, whereas the cross-linked PU films were not. The water- swelling of the cross-linked PU films decreased with increasing PTMEG content. Both the tensile strength and elongation at the break of films prepared using the waterborne PUs increased with increasing PTMEG content.
