Once the interviewers had viewed the 26Al image on my monitor, I was powerless to interest them in the direct observations of 56Co and 57Co in SN1987A, observations that I had in some sense predicted and pursued during my career, and that had shown for the first time that supernovae do indeed synthesize our new nuclei. When you see this TV special you will judge whether I was able to help with the burning question of the 26Al map. I soothed my personal disappointment at not talking of my own work with the realization that a 50-min special of this kind is itself a great event for all of us.
