On the other side of the temple grounds is Thailand’s largest Buddha image in the posture of giving a blessing, named Phra Phutthasuwanmongkhon Mahamuni or Luangpho Yai. Stretching 42 meters high and 23 meters wide, the image is made of concrete and the reinforced interior is decorated with 24 carat gold designs. A gallery surrounds the large Wihan (image hall). Within the gallery, Buddha images in different postures for each day of the week and a large image of Phra Sangkatchai (Kaccayana or Happy Buddha) are enshrined. There is also a Dharma park and other beautiful structures resting amongst tranquil and shady surroundings
