Why do businesses post a lot of advertisements through various media:newspapers, magazine, radios or televisions? The most obvious purpose of advertising is to inform the consumer of available products or services, whereas the second purpose is to sell the products. The second purpose might be more important to the manufacturess, the dealers or the retailers than the first. These people go the beyond only telling consumers about their products or services. They also try to persuade customers to buy the product by creating a desire for it. Most of the time consumers buy something because they think they wan it because of advertisement. After buying something, the consumer cannot always explain why he or she bought it.
