Gelatin was successfully cross-linked with TPA, an innocuous
agent. The
cross-linking conditions were studied in terms of TPA
concentration
and reaction temperature using in situ rheological
characterizations
on gelatin solutions and TNBS chemical assays
on gelatin gel. The cross-linking process was more efficient at
60 ◦C when all the polymer chains are in a triple helix free solu-
tion state. In addition, the optimal TPA concentration was 0.005 g/g
