In view of the conflict situations that mark nurses management practice, various questions can be raised. The fact that there are no objective answers to evident questions, and to so many others that may come about, does not mean that nurse managers should feel intimidated by pernicious situations in the service or structure under their command. In view of such circumstances, the best thing to do may be to weigh, temporarily observe the agents’movements, articulate support for planned measures, or simply be aware that questions are coherent and be prepared to avoid surprises.
