THE PEASANT’S MISTAKE
On day one old peasant brought a basket of fine apples to the castle of a certain Marquis.
On the stair-care he met two monkeys, dressed like children who flunk themselves on his basket and proceeded to empty it.
The peasant respectfully took off his hat.
When he came before the marquis,
the latter him “why did you bring me a half –basket?” “My lord,” the peasant replied, “it is not my fault.
My basket was quite full, but your two sons have half- emptied it.”
