An automatic SIA procedure for determining
purine alkaloids by the reaction of their joint oxidation
with MBTH was developed in the system shown in
Fig. 2, according to a generated protocol of analytical
cycle presented in Table 1. Initially, the entire flow sys
tem was filled with a carrier (a 0.05 M acetate buffer
solution) using a plunger pump. Then, microvolumes
of sample premixed with an oxidizing agent, an
MBTH solution, and again the sample mixture with
an oxidant were added successively in the storage coil
