DiLiello (2006) conducted empirical research with the RSLQ on the concept of
self-leadership's impact on innovation and creativity (p. 114). DiLiello collected primary
data via an online survey. This empirical study contributed to research on the application
of self-leadership theory and creativity theory (p. 114). DiLiello combined the use of the
Revised Self-Leadership Questionnaire with research instruments on creative self efficacy (p. 114). Approximately 2,100 contract professionals of the Department of
Defense were invited to participate (p. 114). In summary, DiLiello conducted a "crosssectional
study using self-reported data. Multiple response frequencies were used to
answer descriptive questions. Regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses" (p. 1).
