Approaches to treatment
Treatment is aimed at slowing progression and reducing Iop to prevent major sight loss (Sharts-hopko and glynn-milley 2009). Intraocular pressure can be lowered by decreasing the production of aqueous humour, increasing its outflow, or both. approaches to treatment include:
■■ ocular hypotensive treatment.
■■ laser surgery.
■■ Incisional surgery.
■■ a combination of the above three.
