Rate of contact will be maximized in a pure O2 atmosphere, much better than what you could attain by falling through the air.
If you can survive on the oxygen absorbed through your skin by falling through the air (even at terminal velocity) you should be able to survive on that simply in contact with your skin while standing still in a pure O2 atmosphere.
