Indulging your fantasy
The fantasy genre combines fantasy worlds and magical elements that could
never exist in today’s world (this is what separates this genre from science
fiction). Comic-book characters like Superman in the fictional city of
Metropolis are part of the fantasy genre. For a fantastical adventure, take a
look at these titles:
 The Wizard of Oz
Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix
The Chronicles of Narnia Lord of the Rings
Although a fantasy story doesn’t always require special effects — consider It’s a Wonderful Life, which sets up a fantastical situation without visuals weighed down with special effects — making a film in the fantasy genre can be expensive if you have to create worlds that don’t exist. Some effects (with some ingenuity) can be done inexpensively, as I show you in Chapter 17.
