One of the best gifts I have ever recieved was when I was eight years old. It was a beautifully illustrated book of poems for children authored by, Robert Louis Stevenson. I would read his poems over and over, pretending I was the child he was writing about. I had this great desire to be able to write as he did. I still own this book over fifty years later. I keep it in a place where I can still take it out, hold it and read the fragile pages that expanded my imagination. I thank my parents for a life long lasting gift.
Birthdays come but once a year. They are indeed, very special and worth making the most of. This applies to your own birthday and that of your close buddies.
As I move towards my 28th year, I know the importance of making a big deal, doing something different and ensuring I have my nearest and dearest close by. Thinking about my expectations has shed light on would-be wonderful gifts, ideas and time well spent on such a significant occasion.
