The LaHave House Project consists of a number of applications: 1) generating libraries of
modular house designs, 2) select base house designs that fit individual “customers”
preference, 3) customizing house designs, and for 4) visualizing house designs in 3D.
Until recently these applications relied primarily on their own representations of the
component parts of house designs and a set of largely unstructured flat files. The problem
with this included maintainability, scalability, data validation, and duplication of data in
separated sources.
