Maximum peak-to-mean ratios determined fromultrasonic anemometer measurements are above 1 up to 1 kmdistance, LASAT delivering slightly larger values for stable conditions,AODM for slightly unstable conditions (Fig. 4).In addition to the peak-to-mean attenuation curves, the frequencyof occurrence of stability classes influences the separationdistances. The Reuter (1970) scheme used in the AODM deliversabout twice as many unstable situations for Kittsee compared tothe Klug-Manier scheme (TA-Luft, 2002), whereas the latter calculatesmuch more neutral and stable cases (Fig. 2).
