Table 2 illustrates the logistic regression model, showing the
odds ratios at a 95% confidence interval and where 14.5% of
variation in the outcome fall during the previous year could be
explained by the variables “Functional reach” and “Tinetti scale”.
The odds ratios of 0.86 for the Functional Reach Test and 0.71
for the Tinetti scale, i.e. ratios of less than 1,which means that
a good score in any of these tests can be considered to be a
protective factor against falls.
