We remind all managers to begin the annual performance appraisal process. This year, President
Eisgruber asked the Cabinet to set an aspirational goal of 100% for the administrative and support
staffs to receive performance appraisals. Since performance is the determining factor for allocating
merit increases for staff, it is important to complete the appraisals by early April before the merit
allocation process is finalized. Karen Haskin, director of academic management, will send a separate
memo by the end of February to academic chairs, directors, and managers regarding this year’s
process for academic managers
