Table 6 reports that about 50% of the gap between natives‘ and immigrants‘ occupational
risks can be explained solely by differences in workers characteristics. Regarding gender differences it is clear that men perform more dangerous tasks than women and the gaps between natives and immigrants are bigger. Whatever decomposition is used, half of men‘s
gap (51%) is explained by differences in the observed characteristics.
In contrast, women are less exposed to risks, but their results change dramatically depending on the method used to calculate the decomposition. Next, a bar chart is presented to show the contribution of the difference in the means of each x to the gap in endowments (E).
