Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort is located high up above the Arctic Circle, in the north-east corner of Finnish Lapland. This secluded log cabin village is the ultimate location for an arctic romantic break. As a highlight of your stay, you will overnight in either a snow or glass igloo – both options provide an unforgettable experience!
Every winter several structures are built from ice and snow near the log cabin village: these are the Ice Gallery, the Bar made of Ice, the Ice Chapel and the World’s Largest Snow Restaurant. Every December, the best ice sculptors in the world come to Kakslauttanen to participate in the international ice-sculpting week which takes place at the Ice Gallery and Arctic Resort; the creations remain on view during the rest of winter.
During your three-night stay at Kakslauttanen you can try exhilarating winter safaris by reindeer, husky, and snowmobile or take part in an ice/snow rally. The choice is yours!
