STEP 4- Generating the connection diagrams
The connection diagrams represent a list of connections
between the PLC and the sensors and actuators. The process
can be split into two steps. The first step is assigning the
physical input and output tags to an input or output module’s
pin. The second step is toadd the connection to the
connection diagram, stored as well in the common variable
space. This is done by iterating through all the parts, and
based on their connection diagram, which tells you which
physical input or output tag connects to a specific pin, and
the list generated previously you can obtain a connection
between a PLC input/output module’s pin and a
sensor/actuator part’s pin. Apart from these connections there
are a number of default connections like power supply
connections, which are specified for each part individually in
their connection diagram
