This picture of our Sun was taken at almost the same time as the 304 angstroms one. However, the 211 angstroms shows us much higher temperatures. This is approx. 3.6 million F or 2 million K and here we can see the active regions of the corona, which also shows the coronal hole very nicely. The darker area is the coronal hole, a place where very little radiation is emitted, yet this is the main source of solar wind particles.
