Fig. 4 displays the percentage of patients who received each topic included in the education portion of the supplemental nursing taxonomy and the mean number of minutes during rehabilitation spent on each topic, for these patients only. Fig. 5 shows similar information for care management. For example, almost all patients received education for bowel and bladder management, skin, and pain, as well as psychosocial support (care management). However, the greatest amount of time was spent on psychosocial support (291 total minutes (4.8 hours over the entire stay, on average)) and bladder management (220 total minutes (3.6hours)). While only about half of the patients received education about respiratory issues, these patients spent a mean of more than 100 minutes on this topic.
