Hence, for each contribution, IQAs may need to perform one to four actions, on average, per contribution
in the quality control activity. An extreme case would be a complete reversal or discarding of the
contribution. Because the underlying reality described by the article changes over time, the community
may need to perform regular maintenance or update actions to align the article with either the changed
underlying entity or the changed general context of article use. Finally, IQAs improve the process quality
by building and maintaining its infrastructure (i.e., developing and maintaining policies and procedures;
developing templates, guides, automatic maintenance tools, etc.), including editorial groups, by blocking
vandals, resolving disputes, identifying qualified editors, and aligning editors with tasks.
