According to UNWTO, ‘same-day visitor’ refers to a ‘visitor who does not spend a
night in a collective or private accommodation in the place visited’; ‘tourist’ – ‘a visitor
who stays at least one night in a collective or private accommodation in the place
visited, ‘visitor’ – ‘refers to any person traveling to a place other than that of his/her
usual environment for less than 12 consecutive months and whose main purpose of
trip is other than the exercise of any activity remunerated from within the place visited‘
