Antihypertensive use during pregnancy is relatively common and increasing. The wide range of agents used during pregnancy includes medications considered contraindicated during pregnancy. The choice of antihypertensive agents is less complex because only a small proportion of currently available drugs have been evaluated adequately in pregnant women and many are contraindicated. The present study focused on the antihypertensive drug utilization pattern in women attending the antenatal clinic of obstetrics and gynaecology
department at a tertiary care teaching hospital.
