Drying whole grain in a forced-convection air-oven according to ASAE Standard S352.1 (ASAE, 1982) is the most widely used method of moisture content determination and yields highly reproducible results under selected conditions of time and temperature. The disadvantage of this method is a long drying time requirement. Therefore a rapid moisture content determination method using high-temperature, shorttime guidelines would be valuable in time savings if
proven accurate.
