Arrange transportation from their dealership to the IPSD Peterborough Caterpillar facility (prepaid).
Provide a pro forma invoice for VAT (Shipping Invoice)Dealer will use PRR # as Shipping Invoice number, print three (3) Parts Return Request (PRR) attaching two (2) on the outside of the container and placing one (1) with the failed part(s), Dealer will contract shipper/freight forwarder for moving the failed part(s)
Provide shipping using Incoterm DDP (Deliver Duty Paid to Peterborough facility)– See detailed shipping instruction process below (Shipping instructions can be found by going to https://dealer.cat.com/sib - scroll down to “FPRP Shipping Instructions” ribbon and clicking on >>Dealers Shipping to Peterborough
• Dealer will be responsible for all shipping and handling charges, preparing all shipping documents, and contracting the shipper/freight forwarder.
Submit a supplemental freight claim for reimbursement for usual and customary shipping charges.
• No change to reimbursement of shipping
o Dealer will submit a supplemental freight charge claim through the Warranty Claim system for reimbursement of all usual and customary shipping cost
o Dealer will follow instruction for submitting a supplemental freight charge claim found in the Global Warranty Bulletin 4.02 – Global Warranty Parts Return Handling & Freight Charges https://warranty.cat.com/en/global-guide/parts.html
Note:
• Process to return failed parts to the US Cat facilities remains the same.
• Failed parts with core value shall be returned to the designated Reman inspection facility. The Reman inspection facility will forward the failed part to the Engineer for quality analysis. No change to the existing process
