The chemical composition of MOLM and LLM (tsable
2). The achieved LLM content of CP (23.6%), ADF
(25.69%), and NDF (40.38%) on DM basis, was globally
similar to the corresponding values obtained by D’Mello
and Taplin 1978, Echeverría et al. (2002), Dhar et al.
(2007) and Ayssiwede et al. (2010). Regarding MOLM,
the estimated crude protein content was (19.76 %) lower
than the values (27 and 29.7 %) observed by Makkar
and Becker (1997) and Kakengi et al. (2007), respectively.
ADF and NDF contents in MOLM amounted
27.11 and 44.42 % on DM basis, respectively; which
were higher than the reported value (22.7 %) estimated
by Kakengi et al. (2007).
