We assembled at the school at 9 o'clock, and by 9.30 we were aboard the train. It was a good arrangment. Each car held two classes. Three cars were added to the regular train so that there would be enough room for other passengers. As our classes were only about thirty each, there was plenty of room.
We were there by twelve, and each class went with its teacher to lunch, then the guides came and took us for a tour of west point and finally by the river where we were to have a snack.
We were on the train again by six o'clock. We had never needed the raincoat everyone was carrying.
