2.8.2. Thermal gravimetric and differential scanning calorimetric
analyses
The thermal behavior of the biosurfactant were conducted in
terms of thermal gravimetric (TG) and differential scanning calorimetric
(DSC) on a Netzsch STA 409 C/CD thermal analysis system
(Selb, Germany). About 6–8 mg of glycolipid biosurfactant was
loaded in a platinum pan and heated under a nitrogen atmosphere
at 10 C/min. The TG and DSC thermograms were obtained by plotting
the weight percentage and heat flow against temperature in
the range 30–480 and 30–400 C, respectively.
