In this study, with the help of sensor nodes located in different sections of the tunnels in the dam, temperature and humidity values were monitored via the interface program by establishing a wireless sensor network in tree topology, whereupon the control of temperature and humidity was also performed. This study was conducted in tunnels in the main body of Atatürk Dam.The construction of Atatürk Dam, shown in Figure 3,began on November 4, 1983, and the dam became operational in 1992. The dam has two purposes: energy and irrigation. Atatürk dam, the body of which comprises earth
and rock, is the world’s fifth largest dam in term of fill volume. Its associated power plant, with 2400 MW of installed power, has a production capacity of 8900 GWh annually [13].
