The neutron imaging detector was formed by coupling screens
to a fiberoptic taper-based CCD camera (Photometrics, 1024 · 1024 pixels, Peltier cooled, 12 bit dynamic range).
With a reduction ratio of 3:1 for the fiberoptic taper,
the effective pixel size of the system is 57 lm. The
detector was placed 120 cm away from the thermal beam
port. The CCD was protected from thermal neutrons by
wrapping the detector in boroflex sheets (except the front
surface where fiberoptic taper provided the shielding) and
a thin lead sheet was used for shielding the gamma rays.
