Starting from the outputs of the steps 1, 2 and 3, the partner countries developed an European curriculum for principals capable of governing their school in order to create an effective learning community. Training for principals is nothing new in European countries (where principals have to attend refresher courses before or during their career); the really innovative feature of the SGoLC project is a training path not based merely on factual knowledge, but strongly oriented towards the development of learning communities and governance model to build learning communities, where people learn how to profitably share their own knowledge. In this way the project takes part to the goal to make the Europe the most competitive knowledge economy in the world.
