Major findingsofthisstudyaretwo-fold:(1)Bryde’swhale
calls arepresentintheSCBbetweensummerandearlywinter,
suggesting aseasonalpolewardrangeexpansionofthistypically
warm-water species;(2)Bryde’swhaleseasonalpresenceinthe
SCB hasbeenincreasingoverthelastdecade.Thisincreasing
trend doesnotcorrelatetolocalSST,butcouldrelatetolarger-
scale climatevariabilityandlong-termclimatetrends.
