This study offers important, novel contributions to export marketing literature, but also has certain limitations These limitations may lead to future research. Scholars should engage in a longitudinal study to analyze the relationships between internal/ external factors and EE. Second, the sample comes from a single country. To make previous conclusions extensible ,firms from a wider geographic area should feature in the analysis. Finally, some factors that are not part of the study may affect its results. Future research should consider export product characteristics quality of the relationships with international distributors, and organization's dynamic capabilities, such as export market orientation.
