5.ENTRY INTO A FOREIGN COUNTRY
-Many international travelers are unsure of what to do and where to go when they arrive at a foreign airport.
-Airport signs instruct incoming passengers how to get to an area called immigration, customs or passport control.
-Each incoming passenger is asked to show documentation (proof of citizenship or passport)
-The immigration officer is referring to excess amounts of liquor, tobacco and other.
-When immigration officer decides that travelers is harmless, he may place a stamp on the documentation and then passenger is directed to baggage claim area.
For inbound passenger: Red and Green Channels
The duty-free allowance applied to accompanied personal effects up to Baht 10,000 worth if:
1.The items are intended for your own personal or professional use.
2.The quantity is reasonable.
3.The items are not subject to prohibition or restriction.
Limits on the amount of alcoholic beverages, cigarettes, cigars and smoking tobacco as follows:
1.One litre of spirituous liquor
2.No more than 200 cigarettes
3.No more than 500 grams of smoking tobacco (including cigars)
4.200 cigarettes and cigars or smoking tobacco each or in total must not exceed 500 grams
Note: If holding smoking tobacco and cigars in excess of 500 grams, fine is 4675 Baht per carton
