The Parmeliaceae is the largest family macrolichens occurs worldwide. Five hundred and eleven specimens of lichen family Parmeliaceae were collected from Phu Hin Rongkla National Park. The study had identified to 44 species and 8 genera. Taxonomic identification was based on morphological and anatomical characters (table 1) as well as chemical character in some species. This family is characterized by development of the foliose growth form. Stratified heteromerous thallus possessesascomycetes fungi associated with green algae. The main thallus contains 4 layers: upper cortex, algal layer, medulla and lower cortex. Unlike the upper cortex, the colors of lower cortex have different pigment and have some appendages to attach to the substratum. Vegetative propagules and others structures as well as reproductive structures are important characters used to identify the Parmeliaceae such as isidia, soredia, phyllidia, pustule, rhizine and cilia.
